Plod's very first guitarist, Carl Seager. In common with the rest of the band Carl went on to make his mark on the East Anglian music scene with a variety of good bands including Cosmology, Steve Linton Band, Dandy Rat and the Footpads, Choko, Swimming in the Sea, the Fabs, Cream Horns, Harlequin, Hog Nosed Skunks, Dibble and Grub, and Flying heroes Later Carl also worked with his replacement, Paul Hart in (unknown band).
